Zhiquan Wang to Perform Special Recital in Catania, Italy
Zhiquan Wang, a 14-year-old finalist of the Classic Piano International Competition 2024, will perform a special solo recital on 17 January 2025 at Teatro Sangiorgi in Catania, Italy.
Pianist Zhiquan Wang, a finalist of the Classic Piano International Competition 2024, has been awarded a prestigious Special Prize by jury member Mro. Epifanio Comis and Mr. Biagio Guerrera, President of the Associazione Musicale Etnea. As part of this honor, Wang will perform a solo recital on 17 January 2025 at the Teatro Sangiorgi in Catania, Italy.

At just 14 years old, Zhiquan Wang is emerging as a remarkable talent in the classical music world. A student of Professor Zhe Tang at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music’s affiliated school, Wang has achieved numerous accolades, including the Grand Prix at the XIX Moscow Central Music School International Piano Competition, the Orbetello Piano Competition, and the Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition for Young Pianists.
A finalist at the Classic Piano International Competition 2024, Wang was awarded this special recognition for his outstanding artistry. He has performed at renowned venues such as the Mariinsky Theatre and the Shanghai Grand Theatre, earning critical praise at international festivals, including the Mariinsky International Piano Festival and the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival.
