25 September 2026

The jury has been announced for the 2027 London Classic Piano Competition, bringing together seven distinguished figures from the international classical music world. Taking place from 2–4 April 2027, the London competition will welcome an international jury chaired by acclaimed French pianist and pedagogue Michel Béroff.

Joining him on the jury will be Dmitri Alexeev (UK), Peter Donohoe (UK), Klaus Hellwig (Germany), Momo Kodama (Japan), Vanessa Latarche (UK), and Giuliano Mazzoccante (Italy).

Together, the seven-member panel represents a broad spectrum of international performing and pedagogical experience and will be entrusted with selecting the leading pianists of the London competition.

A total prize fund of €35,000 will be awarded, with €20,000 for First Prize, €10,000 for Second Prize, and €5,000 for Third Prize.

Beyond the monetary awards, the stakes in London extend to the next stage of the Classic Piano journey. The two top-ranked participants will earn eligibility for the invite-only Classic Piano International Competition, which will take place at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona in September 2028, featuring a total prize fund of €330,000.

The deadline for video applications for the London Classic Piano Competition is 15 December 2026.

With its newly announced international jury and a pathway leading to the 2028 Grand Finale in Barcelona, the London competition is set to mark an important opening chapter in the upcoming Classic Piano competition cycle.
