On February 15, the participant of Classic Piano Competition, Indonesian-American pianist and organist Jonathan Mamora delivered a standout performance at L'Auditori in Barcelona. Known for his technical skill and expressive playing, Mamora showcased a diverse program that included Bach's Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor, BWV 891, Rachmaninoff's Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, and works by contemporary Catalan composers, including Leonora Milà, Víctor Oller, and David Önaç.

Mamora’s performance highlighted his versatility, transitioning smoothly from classical to contemporary pieces. His interpretation of Rachmaninoff’s sonata demonstrated his command over virtuosic passages while maintaining emotional depth, and his inclusion of works by living composers added a modern touch to the program.

Acclaimed for his "poetic" and "assured pianism," "natural, songful lyricism," and ability to "rip through virtuosic passagework" (The Dallas Morning News), Jonathan has performed across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Beyond his performance career, Mamora is the Music Director and Organist at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Clifton Springs, NY, and a candidate for a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music. He has performed internationally and earned recognition in various competitions, including Classic Piano 2024 in Dubai.

The audience at L'Auditori was treated to an impressive display of Mamora’s musical range, cementing his reputation as a highly skilled and versatile artist.
