Andrey Gugnin, winner of Classic Piano 2024 and one of the most compelling pianists of his generation, will appear in concert with a new solo program on Thursday, February 12, at the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington. The recital, presented by RICKART LLC, will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 PM (PST) and promises an evening of virtuosity, depth, and interpretative mastery.

The evening opens with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty in the virtuosic piano transcription by Mikhail Pletnev, followed by a selection of Edvard Grieg’s Lyric Pieces, offering moments of lyrical reflection and Nordic color. The program culminates in Frédéric Chopin’s Sonata No. 3, a work of dramatic scope and emotional intensity, alongside selected Études from Op. 10, where Gugnin’s technical command and musical imagination come fully to the fore.
